1. What GarageIQ is

GarageIQ is a free referral service operated by GarageIQ. We are not a contractor, we do not perform garage door work, and we do not employ the technicians you may be referred to. Participating companies are independent businesses that pay us for referrals. They are solely responsible for their licensing, insurance, estimates, pricing, workmanship, and warranties.

2. AI assessments are not a diagnosis

Assessments are automated, preliminary, and based only on the information you provide. They may be wrong. Price ranges are typical ranges, not quotes. Always rely on an on-site inspection by a qualified technician. Never attempt to adjust, remove, or replace springs, cables, drums, or brackets yourself.

3. Your requests

You agree to provide accurate information and to submit requests only for property you own or are authorized to arrange service for. You may not submit requests on behalf of others without their permission.

4. Contact consent

When you submit a request, you authorize the company named in the consent checkbox to contact you as described there. You can revoke consent at any time by replying STOP to texts, telling the caller, or contacting us.

5. No warranty; limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, GarageIQ is not liable for the acts or omissions of any service provider or for decisions made based on an assessment.

6. Partner terms (garage door companies)

• Hold and maintain all licenses (including California CSLB licensing where applicable), registrations, and insurance required for the work you perform, and keep them current with us.
• Contact homeowners only about the request they submitted, only by the channels they consented to, and honor opt-out requests immediately.
• Never resell, share, or transfer referral information, and never add homeowners to marketing lists without their separate consent.
• Protect homeowner information with reasonable security and delete it when no longer needed.
• Comply with all applicable laws, including telemarketing (TCPA and state equivalents), consumer protection, and advertising rules.
• Referral fees, subscription fees, return/credit rules, and payment terms are as shown in your dashboard and invoices.

7. Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
